Terms of Use
Effective and last updated:
These terms apply to the Retro Analog Camera apps for Android and iOS (“the apps”). Section 12 covers this website. Publisher: Rox.
The apps are distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store. Their store terms also apply.
1. What the apps do
Retro Analog Camera is a video camera that applies analog-inspired looks as you record, and a tool that renders those looks onto videos you import. Processing happens on your device.
2. Purchase and distribution
The apps are sold as a one-time purchase through the app stores. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Payment, refunds and receipts are handled by Google or Apple under their own policies and your legal rights, which these terms do not limit.
3. Permitted use
You may use the apps for personal and commercial video creation. You may not copy, reverse engineer or redistribute the apps except as the law or the store terms allow.
4. Your content
You are responsible for the videos you record, import, render and share, and for having the rights and consents needed, including from people who appear in them or whose audio you record. Recording laws vary; follow the law where you are. You keep ownership of your content. The apps do not upload it.
5. Intellectual property
The apps, their looks, icon, logo and design belong to the publisher or its licensors. The looks are inspired by analog formats; they are not endorsed by, and do not use the names of, any camera manufacturer.
6. Third-party components
The apps include third-party software licensed separately; see the Open-source licenses page.
7. Device limitations
The apps depend on your device’s camera, graphics and video-encoding hardware. Resolutions, frame rates, performance and effects can differ between devices, and some devices may not support every feature. We do not promise unlimited recording length, a particular output quality or compatibility with every device or video format.
8. Files and data integrity
Video files can be lost or damaged by low storage, interruption, a crash, a device fault or other causes. Keep copies of anything important. Rendering creates a new file and does not modify your original, but you should still keep backups.
9. Warranty and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the apps are provided “as is” without warranties, and the publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
10. Updates and discontinuation
We may update the apps and may stop offering or supporting them. Updates arrive through the app stores. Videos you have saved remain yours.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept it, where the law permits.
12. This website
The website provides information about the apps. Its content is provided as is, and you may link to it. Separate from the apps, the website does not require an account and has no user-generated content.
13. Governing law
[Governing law and jurisdiction — to be completed by the owner]
